The ATSS's Lane Change Mode provides randomized scenarios for teaching evasive lane change. Adaptive Reaction Time ensures that students are trained to a time-based standard. Random light selections prevent students from anticipating the exercise and provide a stimulus with 8 available pattern choices that can meet the needs of your department's training standards:

The ATSS is designed to help your agency maximize its training effectiveness by offering several different training modes. The Braking Mode forces students to react to a braking event within an instructor-selected reaction time. As the student enters the course the ATSS detects the vehicle and turns all three lights green. The system will then calculate when to change the lights from green to red to provide the student with the desired reaction time. When the ATSS detects the student has stopped it will briefly turn the center light green, indicating they may clear the course.
With the ATSS's Adaptive Reaction Time the speed of the student's vehicle is irrelevant all students are presented with the same reaction time. This ensures your organization is able to provide training that is consistent, repeatable, relevant, and legally defensible.
